Friends and Farms CSA Customers: Welcome to The Genuine Food Company!
We were sad to hear that our pals at Friends and Farms CSA in Columbia, MD had to close their doors recently. Friends and Farms took pride in providing locally sourced goods to their community, providing a more ethical approach to how we consume food on a day-to-day basis. For those who took advantage of this great local resource, we know this is a great loss, but fortunately, due to the growing interest in locally sourced goods, there are alternative options.
If you’re a Friends and Farms CSA customer, we’d like to welcome you to the Genuine Food Company family. We’ve been providing local, free-range, humanely raised food to the Greater Baltimore area since 2011. Our network of farmers reside in the Baldwin/Long Green Valley area of Baltimore County and we take pride in raising animals the right way; no growth hormones or additives and a stress-free environment. We allow our cattle to graze freely and our hogs to move about as they please.
Our CSA Packages
We offer a wide variety of Meat CSA packages. From quarterly shares, which provide 20lbs a month for 3 months, to half shares (10lbs/month), and even annual subscriptions for customers who would like to eat well all year round! Each share includes a wide range of grill, roast, braising, and ground meats that include both beef and pork cuts. For those interested, we’re also able to substitute chicken upon request.

Our Pickup Locations
Genuine Food Company has two pickup locations for its CSA. Our first location is at the Green Onion Market, located at 5500 Harford Rd, Baltimore, MD 21214 and our second location is at Prigel Family Creamery, located at 4852 Long Greed Rd, Glen Arm, MD 21057.
